1. Le Royal Monceau

The luxury hotel pays homage to the entertainment culture of Paris - from the jazz clubs of Saint-Germain-des-Prés to the groundbreaking films of the Lumière brothers - by inviting guests to unleash their inner Parisian artist with a guitar, found in each room, and use of an in-house cinema. For extra stimulation Paris’ top address has its own art gallery, art concierge, art bookstore, and the largest infinity pool in Paris.

.

2. Ritz Paris

You know how we know guests come out so thoroughly invigorated from all the CHANEL massage and skincare treatments at Ritz Paris? All the vigorously typed out Facebook reviews.

.

3. Hotel Plaza Athénée

Where to go for your next monogamous relationship...with a luxury hotel. Since your amicable separation last spring, you’ve been seeing other “River Droite” grand old hotels. The most that transpired was a lovely weekend. Then Plaza Athénée came along. The silverfox gentleman with a taste for fine food and jazz just the way you like it.

.

4. Hôtel Raphaël

“Do you want to see my view of Paris?”

.

5. Hotel Particulier de Montmartre

When “secret” precedes a location in Paris you’re bound to find a bunch of dreamers at the location. Add Montmartre to the mix, and you have the secret Hotel Particulier de Montmartre which is best described as that charming old house you discovered when taking a detour on your walk through the park, where you call “hello, is someone there?” when you step into the courtyard garden, hoping that a reclusive aristocrat will open the door and invite you in for tea.

.

6. Caron de Beaumarchais

When a hotel promises tall order experiences like “guests have the unique experience to stay in the Paris of the Age of Enlightenment” we doubt the experience will ever match the very real 18th century Paris we’ve been reconstructing in our heads ever since schooldays when the French Revolution became our favorite historical event. But lo! After a week at the boutique we went from spotting classical art memes in each of the hanging portraits to having past life flashbacks. French learners, sleeping here will probably induce your first French-language dream!

.

7. Le Relais des Halles

The compact boutique that exceeds all expectations, where they’ve ironed the sheets, have luxury-end service, and even steamed the rod pocket curtains. Wander the quiet streets from your hotel, progressively slowing down as you linger outside each curiosity store you pass, till you reach the Île de la Cité. Before you know it you’re Owen Wilson and it’s perpetually Midnight in Paris.

.

8. Hotel du Petit Moulin

I’ve been looking for art nouveau, advertising mirrors to decorate my home with, but after staying at Hotel du Petit Moulin, where you (willingly) have to pass through the doors of the original fin de sicle painted facade of Paris’ first boulangerie, as Victor Hugo did to buy his favorite bread, you’ll settle for nothing less than having a replica of entire storefront.

.

9. The Marais House

Antique whisperers looking for peace and quiet may find that’s impossible at the Marais House as so many historical artifacts make up the 15th century abode - from the Burgundy convent, original stone slab floor, to the 18th century Venetian door.

.

10. Hôtel Providence Paris

100 new pins to my Parisian Style board later and I think to myself, Parisians really know how to get away with making anything look fabulous. Velvet and palm leaf wallpaper...the Hôtel Providence Paris wears it best.

.

11. L'Hotel

We’re amazed by how Parisians can manipulate small spaces by applying Murphy’s law (by Murphy we mean the wall bed inventor). L’Hotel, Paris’ smallest 5-star, fit a hammam pool in for crying out loud! Space limitation, on the other hand, is where decorators thrive, and the variety of drape styles in each room - from dramatic sweeping folds, to swag curtain valances are testament to that!

.

12. Molitor

Forget the French Riviera when thinking of vintage travel, Molitor is the setting you should associate with bronzed, bikini-clad women from the 60s. The world’s first bikini strutted its stuff here!

13. Unique historical flat in Paris

Standing behind a red velvet rope at the foot of Louis XVI’s bed at the Louvre you imagine what it’s like to stay in a room fashioned during the golden age of French interior design. Is just imagining it not cutting it for you? Then stay in this 18th century parquet floored, woodwork paneled, French chandelier ornamented, apartment by the gardens of the Palais-Royal.

.

14. Beautiful apartment Paris Bastille

The Airbnb you’ll definitely be organising some stay-ins at. From the main photo of the timber framed loft with an Eiffel Tower model in the foreground, lit by warm yellow lights, you feel like you’re on a movie set, about to act out a scene headed with “CHAMP DE MARS - NIGHT”. So before night falls, set the scene with pastries, cheese, and other baked goods from the nearby Marché Bastille.

.

15. Little house in Paris, Loft, Canal

Like jumping into the pages of a loft-design magazine. Floor plants that look like trees and more hanging from the ceiling beams, exposed brick walls where shop signs hang, instructing you to turn the corner...and a long deck table under a skylight from where light pours in as though the ceiling was sliced open. I think I’ll just stay in an saturate my Instagram with photos of...everything.

.

16. Paris Center Flat at Musée d'Orsay

If you can pull off this “rare find”, your choice of calendar dates allowing you to book, this Musee d’Orsay neighboring Airbnb that will be your “can you believe I stayed there” story.

.

17. Luxury apartment - Garden - Monceau

Psst...we’ve got another stop for you on your “secret Paris” tour. Overlooking Parc Monceau, this 19th century apartment that once belonged to academic painter Alexandre Cabanel has secret garden access to the park.

.

18. Villa, Ch.Elisees, Luxe. Garden

Be one of the select few Airbnb guests that have stayed at this luxury apartment, a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées, and you’d be following in the footsteps of Man Ray, himself a guest of the fine abode back in the day.
